📖 BBQ Ben's Story

Known as Poundmax to his friends, BBQ Ben wields a bludgeoning weapon with exactly the same joyful violence he brings to a set of chopsticks, and he considers cooking and combat to be the same art performed at different temperatures. In the wars he fed the company and then broke the enemy, often in that order, and morale followed him around like smoke off a grill. When the wars ended, the fighting stopped needing him but the feeding never did, and Ben understood, sooner than most, that a warrior who can also fill the room's belly will never be without a place. So he runs the dojo's fire now, loud and generous, and the same hands that pound meat flat will pound flat anyone who insults the meat. Come for the barbecue. Behave, or become part of the demonstration. He keeps flawless discipline at the grill and pure chaos everywhere else, and the only rule he has never once broken in his life is medium-rare.
