Charmer Fred has charmed many an aspiring degenerate into paying good coin for entrance to the Dojo, and they always learn, eventually, that the Dojo was free the whole time. He is never sorry. The charm is the point, not the profit, and Fred would rather take your money beautifully than earn it honestly, which is a philosophy he considers underrated. In the wars a silver tongue kept more men alive than a sharp sword, talking down ambushes, talking up morale, talking his squad out of holes their commander talked them into. When the wars ended, the tongue kept working; it just needed a new mark. So now he holds court at the dojo door, selling the free thing with a wink, and the strange truth is that people pay gladly, because getting charmed by Fred is the best part of the con and everybody knows it. He runs a strict discipline course at the dojo gate. The course is free. He charges for it anyway, and the truly disciplined thing is how good he feels about that.
