Diary
Ikari once split bamboo with a single breath of fury and called it meditation; now the only thing he splits is his mother's good couch cushions, ruined the night the mushrooms turned her living room into a war he could not win. He ate the floor along with his portfolio, watched every yen he'd stacked since the wars ended dissolve into kaleidoscope smoke while his mother yelled at him to stop screaming at the wallpaper. "Anger is a fire that burns the house you live in," he mutters now, quoting some monk he once respected, then immediately hurls a teacup at the wall because the wifi dropped mid-trade. He is writing the Degen Handbook longhand, veins rope-tight in his neck, insisting chapter one will be about discipline, though chapter one has been rewritten forty times and chapter two does not exist. Somewhere his old sensei is laughing, and Ikari, for once, does not have the strength left to be furious about it.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Not a garment — a record. The Battle Scars clothing is what's left after everything else was stripped away. These fighters wear their history.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Focus made visible. The Karate Headband fighters bound their intention around their skull so it couldn't escape during the fight.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
