Angry Ikari rose before the sun did, because rage never sleeps and neither does the vein throbbing at his temple like a war drum with no war to announce. He'd told himself this would be the morning he found stillness, the old samurai calm his sensei once preached about between sake-soaked sermons, so he sought out Haru at the edge of the ridge to talk it through like a civilized ronin instead of a feral one. Haru talked. Ikari listened, or tried to, but every gentle word about breathing and balance landed like a rug pull on his last nerve, and by the time the sun cracked the horizon he was somehow angrier than when he'd started, fists clenched around nothing, enemy-less and furious at the injustice of having no enemy to hit. He walked away from that sunrise a certified mess, muttering that peace is just anger that hasn't found its target yet, and honestly, he found the whole enlightening chat spectacularly uninspiring, like aping into a token with a floor of zero and calling it discipline.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Still learning. The Student Gi fighters are the most dangerous in the Dojo — they have no habits yet, no fixed patterns, no ceiling.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Paper screen optics. The Shoji Glasses fighters see the world through traditional frames — and find that the tradition holds.
Broad shade, broad vision. The Wide Kasa Fisherman fighters cover more ground with their hat than most cover with their plans.
