Ikari swore honor back into his life the same night he cracked Junichiro's bowl in half at the noodle house on Sanjo Street, broth splashed across two tatami mats like a rice-paper Rorschach of his temper. He stood over the wreckage breathing through his teeth, vein ticking on his forehead like a war drum with nowhere left to march, and told himself, out loud, that a warrior who cannot control his fists deserves neither sword nor supper. So he tried the quiet life: tea ceremonies, slow breathing, a little sobriety diary he abandoned by page four because the pen betrayed him by not writing hard enough. Junichiro, to his credit, only asked for the bowl back, and Ikari paid for it, then paid for the table, then paid for the chair he'd thrown, muttering that anger is a debt collector who never leaves once you let him in the door. He still practices peace daily, mostly by shouting the word at anyone who looks at him wrong, the vein still visible, the honor still theoretical, the noodles still, somehow, unfinished.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
No fixed allegiance. The Mercenary fighters fight for whoever offers the right terms and have never lost a battle when those terms were met.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Aged. Sharp. The Short Spiky Grey fighters have been here long enough for color to leave — and found that what remained is more pointed than before.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
