Diary
Ikari stood alone in a frost-bitten field outside what used to be a dojo, staring at a patch of dead grass like it owed him money, the vein in his temple pulsing in time with his heartbreak. "Anger is a stone thrown into a wasp's nest," his old master used to say, and Ikari had spent years learning to sit still while the wasps swarmed, only to let one crooked smile from a girl who never texted back knock every lesson clean out of his skull. He clenched his fists at the empty air, furious at the cold, furious at the grass, furious mostly at himself for still hoping discipline might save him from a heart that kept betting on the wrong horse. "Anger makes you strong," he growled to no one, then immediately muttered its rebuttal, "but it also makes you an idiot in a field at 2 a.m.," proving both quotes true in the same breath. He walked home rugged by love itself, floor of his own composure fully rekt, a true Degen forged not in battle but in the ashes of a crush he never even asked out.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The name is the lore. The Poop Pride Kimono fighters have transcended embarrassment so completely that they wear the proof. Undefeated.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The warrior and the wanderer. Worn by those who are between destinations but never between fights.
Heavy, ceramic, purpose-built for one thing and used for another. The Giant Sake Bottle fighters are creative about their arsenal.
