Haru tells it like a punchline before anyone else can, grinning wide as a temple bell: he climbed Misty Mountain chasing glory and came down chasing a rash instead, and honestly, the view was still incredible. He vows, between bright cackles, to meditate it away like the old masters did with pain, sitting cross-legged at 3 a.m. with incense burning and eyes wide as saucers because sleep abandoned him a week ago and hasn't sent so much as a postcard. Every morning he bows to his reflection and promises today is the day he becomes disciplined again, then spends the afternoon retelling the mountain story to strangers at the bathhouse with new, funnier details. Underneath the laughter there's a flinch, a small ronin ghost who remembers when honor meant something sturdier than a good bit, but Haru just smiles harder and calls it character development. He hasn't won glory yet, but he's undefeated at turning disaster into a crowd favorite, and he'll take that trophy for now.
