Diary
Drooling Azuma once swore an oath to a blade and a lord, and now he swears mostly at empty jugs, which is a downgrade he has fully embraced. The night he flattened Botan in the man's own quarters, one clean shot that sent Botan's teacup, dignity, and floor price all crashing at once, Azuma did not savor the victory so much as devour it, whooping loud enough to wake three neighboring provinces. He raided Botan's private sake stash like it owed him tribute, toasting himself between gulps, insisting the real skill was not the punch but the pour that followed. Somewhere in the haze he remembered a younger version of himself who trained at dawn, ate rice and discipline for breakfast, and would have been horrified watching this drooling, swaying degenerate declare a knockout the greatest trade of his life. That old samurai lost the argument fast, because Azuma is grinning, sticky with victory and rice wine, gloriously undignified, and somehow, infuriatingly, happier than he has been in years.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Grew things before they fought things. The Farmer clothing is the clearest record of what a fighter was before the Dojo changed them.
'Azuma' — east, the rising sun. Once a warrior whose hunger for the fight rose every morning: first over the wall, last off the field. Peacetime left the hunger nowhere to go.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Dark nature made structural. The Black Oni Horns fighters grew into something specific and let it show at the top.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
