Drooling Azuma once guarded a lord's gate with a stillness that made monks jealous, but peace rotted that discipline into pure appetite, and appetite doesn't care about dignity or temperature. Out in the biting cold, breath fogging like incense smoke, he decided his own hand was the last honorable duty left to a masterless samurai, and he attacked the task with the same reckless, all-in energy he now brings to shorting the market at 3x leverage. Frostbite crept up his fingers while he chased a warrior's release, and somewhere his ancestors wept into their sake cups, watching their bloodline ape into this. He swears tomorrow he starts a strict regimen, cold showers, meditation, maybe even pants, but tomorrow always smells like weed and looks like another cold field. Azuma knows he can do better, he just also knows he probably won't, and honestly that swagger is the only armor he's got left.
One tooth. The whole shark is implied. The Shark Tooth fighters don't need to explain what they've overcome — they wear the evidence.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Minimum. Clean. The Fight Gi fighters believe that preparation is visible in the garment — this one says the fighter has done this before.
