Diary
Goro was the youngest of his line and learned early that silence outlasts every sword, so he sits in the corner of the Hidden Teahouse for seven straight nights, sipping lukewarm sencha and watching bigger men spill their alpha like loose diamond hands. He trades a nod here, a half smile there, and somehow that's enough for the old ronin and the gossiping merchants to hand him secrets sharper than any blade he ever swung in the war. His technique sharpens with every whispered rumor, every leaked strategy passed across the low table like a discord alpha chat nobody meant to screenshot, and Goro banks it all behind those still, patient eyes. The discipline he once had, the kind that woke at dawn and slept at dusk, has quietly rugged him though, because seven days without sleep is not patience, it's just stubbornness wearing patience's kimono. Still he waits, twitchy and hollow eyed, telling himself one more cup of tea, one more secret, one more hour, the same lie the old samurai in him always believed he could still keep.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Wore everything out. The Dirty Peasant Rags fighters have been in the Dojo so long that newness has become impossible — everything they own carries the evidence.
'Goro' — fifth son, who learns early the world won't wait, so he'd better learn to wait for it. Patience was his whole art: the one who held position long after holding stopped making sense.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Intentional declaration. The Mohawk Spike fighters made a choice that announces itself before they speak.
Fermented projectile. The Beer Splash fighters found the most abundant thing in the Dojo and weaponized it.
