Goro was the youngest of his dojo once, and the youngest learns early that patience outlasts every sword arm in the room, so he waited, watchful and quiet, through wars and through peace alike. He was a cheerful man too, back then, before a high moon evening folded him into a drinking match with Legless Tom, a man who somehow still stood taller than most after losing the ability to. That night the sake outpaced the moon and the moon outpaced Goro's discipline, and by dawn the cheer had curdled into something slower, stiller, more amused at its own ruin. Now he sits at the edge of every table, sober-eyed and patient as ever, quietly plotting to teach the degens around him the very stillness he lost that night, though he privately suspects he will have to learn it all over again before he can hand it to anyone else.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.

'Goro' — fifth son, who learns early the world won't wait, so he'd better learn to wait for it. Patience was his whole art: the one who held position long after holding stopped making sense.
