Diary
In the grey mists Igor The Bear stood like a mountain that forgot how to kneel, sword raised for glory, honor whispering doubts he was too stubborn to answer. He did not run from the question, bears rarely run from anything, he simply carried it with him the way he carried everything else, slow, heavy, unbothered by time. Now the mists have cleared into neon-lit alleys where he sells himself on the street corners, not for coin exactly, more like a rate card of grunts and shoulder-checks, because a warrior's gotta eat and honor doesn't pay rent. He tells himself this is temporary, a detour, that any day now he'll wake up, meditate, sharpen the blade instead of the elbow, but the weed is good and the couch has learned the shape of him too well. Somewhere under all that mass there's still discipline buried like treasure, and Igor keeps meaning to dig for it, right after this nap.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Blade pattern. The Katana Kimono fighters understand that what you wear signals what you expect — and they expect a fight.
Built like a landslide — weight, physical and otherwise, the kind that can't be lifted, only rolled. In the wars you pointed him at a problem; now the stillness is the problem.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
On fire, stable. The Burning Basket fighters operate in conditions most find impossible and have stopped noticing the fire.
Patience as weapon. The Noose fighters don't rush — they set the conditions and wait for the opponent to walk into them.
