Ikari knelt in the mist before dawn, carving a bokken from raw wood, and his hands shook not from cold but from the seventh sleepless night stacked behind his eyes like unpaid debts. "Anger is a fire that eats its own house," he muttered to no one, then split the plank clean in half out of pure spite when it didn't sharpen fast enough. There's no enemy left to swing this at, no war, no rival dojo, just the floor price of his own patience dumping lower by the hour, and still the vein in his temple throbs like it's waiting for a fight that already ended years ago. He tried to meditate at sunrise, counted three breaths, then hurled the practice blade at a crow for looking at him wrong, proving once again that discipline is a rug he keeps buying back into and getting rugged by himself. By the time the fog lifted he had a pile of broken wood, zero hours slept, and one furious, honest truth carved into his knuckles: some men fight ghosts because peace never learned how to sit still in them.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
