Diary
Under a moon swollen fat and white as a sake cup, Angry Ikari squared up against Junichiro on the cracked dojo steps, vein already throbbing before the first insult even left his mouth. "Anger is a wind that blows out the lamp of the mind," his old sensei used to say, and Ikari has spent years trying to believe it while failing spectacularly, fists clenched around a joint he swore he'd quit rolling. He fought Junichiro not for blood but for reputation, for the ghost of the disciplined blade he used to be before the wars ended and left him with nothing to cut but bar tabs and bad bets. The brawl was loud, clumsy, oddly charismatic, the kind of scrap that turns heads at the floor of degenerate honor he's been rugged from twice already, and somehow his charisma spiked even as his composure cratered. When it ended he stood there breathing fire through his nose, muttering his own crooked proverb, "a calm sea never made a legend," fully aware that calm is the one shore he'll never wash up on again.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Unglamorous and honest. The Black Peasant Sack fighters didn't dress for anyone else. They dressed for function and found that function is its own statement.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Named for the legendary swordsman. The Flowing Battousai fighters carry the name of the fastest draw in the collection's lore — and the hair confirms they take this seriously.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
