Diary
Ikari's vein throbbed the day the Kyoto alley swallowed his last coins, knuckles bloodied on nobodies who never deserved a real swordsman's rage. He tells himself, teeth grinding, that anger is a fire that lights the way, but he burned down his own bags on drunks and beggars who wandered too close to his tantrum. His sensei used to say fury is a river that must be aimed, never dammed, and Ikari nods to that ghost every night before losing the argument to a bottle of shochu and a group chat full of leeches he still calls friends. Now he sits broke outside a ramen stall in Gion, glaring at strangers, quietly auditioning them for the role of someone worth his temper. Every dawn he vows to find better company and greater discipline, and every dusk he is back in the same alley, screaming at pigeons like they rugged him personally.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
Every cracked card. White is the beginner's belt, and torn is how the crack left it, border and all: a White card is never printed. A repair earns Blue.
'Ikari' means anger — and here it's not a description, it's the whole man. He doesn't perform rage; he simply is it, structured, purposeful, and permanent.
Organization ink made visible. The Black Yakuza Sleeves fighters belong to something — a code, a history — and they advertise their membership without speaking.
Paper screen optics. The Shoji Glasses fighters see the world through traditional frames — and find that the tradition holds.
Time made visible, flowing. Flowing Dreads fighters carry their history in motion — every lock a year, and the years are moving now.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,468 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Stars on a strap. The Shuriken fighters carry more throwing stars than they will ever throw, because running out mid-fight is the one thing they still fear.
