Diary
Under the sakura petals drifting like confetti at his own imaginary parade, Haru sat cross-legged and grinning, trading gossip with anyone who'd listen while secretly stitching together his grand master plan. Once he moved through dojo halls with a blade steadier than his breath, now he moves through group chats with a laugh steadier than his bank balance, but the discipline underneath never fully rusted, just got buried under empty sake cups and half-finished vows to meditate at dawn. His plan, whispered between petals and punchlines, is to teach the degens, to gather every rugged, aped-in, floor-obsessed lost soul and hand them the bushido he can barely hold onto himself. He pictures himself as sensei, robes pressed, spine straight, students bowing, and then pictures himself instead showing up late, hungover, teaching kata with a joint tucked behind his ear and calling it enlightenment. Still he smiles wide as the sakura canopy, because somewhere beneath the jokes and the chaos there's a warrior trying to claw his way back to form, one terrible lesson plan at a time.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The standard-bearer. The Proud Dejen Kimono fighters represent the collection consciously — they know what they're part of and they dress accordingly.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
The disguise is the identity. The Degen Superhero glasses fighters have a secret — or maybe the secret is that there's no secret and they've always been exactly this.
The Dojo's version of a mohawk. More specific, more named. The Dejen Mohawk fighters chose the Dojo's interpretation of rebellion over the generic one.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
