Haru strutted through Tsukiji before dawn, grinning like the tuna auction owed him money, tossing compliments at strangers just to farm a smile back, because a dopamine floor is still a floor. He wobbled onto a slick dock edge mid-bow, half sake half samurai muscle memory, chasing one more "you look radiant today" from a fishmonger who clearly wanted him gone, and the sea nearly aped his whole bag in one glorious splash. Somewhere his old sensei's voice screamed about stance and center, but that voice got rugged years ago and replaced by vibes, weed, and the belief that charisma is a martial art. He surfaced laughing, soaked, smelling like mackerel and bad decisions, arms wide, shouting that he was reborn, truly free, unkillable, blessed. Every morning since he tries to meditate for five disciplined minutes and instead ends up doing bit for the pigeons, cheerfully losing the only fight that ever mattered, one grin at a time.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Wealth made garment. The Money Kimono fighters wear their wins literally — the fabric is a record, not a boast.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
Traditional, ornamented. The Shoji Tassel Glasses fighters dress their perception in ceremony — seeing is a ritual for them, not a reflex.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
