Diary
They say Haru found enlightenment in a sake house in Kyoto, which is one way to describe spilling every clan secret he ever swore to protect after his third flask of the cheap stuff, grinning the whole time like a man handing out candy instead of committing treason. He calls it his awakening. His old sword master would call it a war crime against discretion, but Haru just laughs that big laugh of his and says the universe works in mysterious, extremely drunk ways. Now he runs a gambling den so crooked the dice have opinions, loaded tiles hidden up sleeves that used to hold honor, and every night he tells himself tomorrow he meditates at dawn, tomorrow he returns to the mountain, tomorrow the floor of this den stops being the only floor he respects. Tomorrow never comes, but the smile never leaves either, iron holding up all that sunshine so nobody sees the samurai underneath quietly grieving who he used to be. He shuffles the deck, pours another round, and welcomes you in with open arms and a rigged table, because enlightenment, it turns out, still needs rent money.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The man who decided grinning was braver than breaking. He held a line so long his smile became the squad's good-luck charm; now he beams through the wreckage of peacetime, a very tired samurai behind the widest smile in the Dojo.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Named for the legendary swordsman. The Flowing Battousai fighters carry the name of the fastest draw in the collection's lore — and the hair confirms they take this seriously.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
