Diary
Fatty Bobsticks announced to no one in particular that he was not Fat Bob's understudy, not his echo, not his sequel, he was the main event, thank you very much, and then he went and sat under the sakura trees to prove it with some quality meditation. Somewhere between counting his breaths and counting how many people would eventually chant his name louder than his old man's, his mojo slipped clean out of his robe like loose change, drifted off on the petals, and never came back. He blamed the wind, he blamed the blossoms, he even blamed Fat Bob's shadow, which he swears followed him all the way from the old dojo just to laugh at him, but the truth sits heavier than any of that. Every New Year he psychs himself up to march home and confess the whole disaster, straighten his spine like a real samurai, and every year he gets as far as the doorstep before ducking into a dice game instead. So the family still thinks he's out there mastering stillness under the cherry blossoms, blissfully unaware their boy is one buzzed afternoon and zero mojo deep into becoming legend for entirely the wrong reasons.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Not a garment — a record. The Battle Scars clothing is what's left after everything else was stripped away. These fighters wear their history.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
