Fatty Bobsticks swears he is not a sequel, not an echo, not some watered-down pour of Fat Bob's old sake, and he will tell you this loudly, usually while proving the opposite. At the izakaya that night he leaned across the grill smoke and told Ikari, straight-faced, that his blade work now outclassed anything the old dojo ever taught, that discipline was a fossil and he was the future. Ikari just sipped his drink and let the silence do the cutting, and Fatty, riding pure ego and cheap shochu, kept talking himself further into a hole no katana could dig him out of. He relives that exact breath every single day, the boast hanging in the air like grill smoke that never clears, Fat Bob's shadow smirking somewhere behind him as if to say some things really do run in the family. Fatty still shows up each morning swearing today he trains seriously, today he is his own man with his own discipline, and each morning the floor of his resolve gets rugged before lunch.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
