Diary
Fatty Bobsticks will tell you, unprompted and often mid-drink, that he is NOT Fat Bob's understudy, thank you very much, even as he stands in the exact scandal his old man once stood in, minus the sequel discount. He brought a geisha home to the family estate and married her right there under the ancestral scrolls, a move so bold his uncles convened an emergency council and his own balls convened an emergency exit via ceremonial blade. He screamed loud enough to rattle the koi pond, then, in true Bobsticks fashion, cracked a joke about finally being light enough to dodge faster, and the Dojo elders, horrified and delighted in equal measure, granted him respect on the spot for sheer unhinged commitment to love and bad decisions. He swears this proves he's his own man, not some rerun of his father's chaos, though he now practices discipline the way a gambler practices sobriety, loudly, publicly, and for roughly eleven minutes at a time before the sake calls his name again. Ask him about the scar and he'll grin that too-familiar grin and say the Bobsticks legacy just got a very memorable plot twist.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Paper screens at night. The Shoji Night fighters were born in the quiet hours, when the market sleeps and only the committed are still at their screens.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Memento mori made fashionable. The Skull Kimono fighters remember what's at stake and wear the reminder so they never forget.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Elevated tradition. The High Straw Rice Hat fighters dress high above their own heads — everything they do is reaching upward.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
