Fatty Bobsticks caught the itch out in the Aokigahara treeline, ankle deep in mud and stolen bags, and whatever fever he picked off those degens has been arguing with his blood ever since. He swears up and down the ryokan halls that he is not Fat Bob's ghost wearing a bigger belt, that history remembers Fat Bob for the fumble and it will remember him, Fatty Bobsticks, for the comeback. Reputation, he insists, is just a floor price for a man's name, and his is deep in the red thanks to a legacy he never asked to inherit and a cough he definitely did. So between fevered naps he drills katas at half speed, mutters affirmations that dissolve into coughing fits, and robs nobody, technically resting, technically rebuilding, technically still the main character. The old sensei in him knows discipline is a blade you sharpen daily, but Fatty just keeps sheathing it to nap, promising the shadow of Fat Bob that tomorrow, tomorrow, he rises undisputed.
Collected. Not borrowed. The Foes Teeth fighters carry proof of every fight they've won around their neck and find it a useful conversation starter.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Not quite there yet. The Warlock Wannabe fighters are in the process of becoming something more — and the gap between aspiration and arrival is where they live.
He exists in Fat Bob's extended universe — related, distinct, and absolutely exhausted by the comparison. Same build, same laugh, different problems. Do not, he begs you, get them confused.
Still functional. Functionally broken. The Broken Glasses fighters see a cracked version of reality and have found it more honest than the uncracked one.
Clean but rough. The White Ruffian fighters look like they could have behaved properly and chose not to. The white makes the choice more visible.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
