Goro was always the one who waited, the youngest in every dojo line, the last to speak and the last to strike, and that patience followed him even into the frozen field behind the ramen stall where his stomach finally betrayed him after a night of cheap sake and questionable gyoza. Squatting in the cold with his hakama around his ankles, humiliated and shivering, he locked eyes with a pig rooting through the trash, and something in its calm, unbothered stare felt like the first honest connection he'd had in years. He named no gods that night, only her, and swore right there mid-squat that he would become a better man, disciplined again, sober again, worthy of sitting seiza without his knees screaming for a joint. That vow lasted exactly until the next morning when he aped into a bag of gas station edibles because waiting for enlightenment, it turns out, is easier than waiting for the munchies to pass. Still he visits the field sometimes, patient as ever, watching the pig graze, telling her softly that the floor of his self control hasn't been rugged yet, it's just resting.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
