Igor The Bear used to move like a landslide with a schedule, an unstoppable weight in service of a code, back when discipline still meant something up in the cold hills before all the wars dried up and left men like him with nothing to guard. Now he sits heavy in the corner of the men's pleasure house, a mountain of a man among rented smiles and cheap sake, having wandered in only to hunt down The Kingpin for a fight that mattered. Somewhere between the third drink and the fourth insult he stopped chasing a brawl and started building a plan, slow and deliberate as everything he does, the gears in that big skull grinding out a scheme heavier than his own fists. The plan is simple, in the dry gravel of his own voice: fewer leeches, fewer grinning fools who ape into his orbit for free sake, better quality friends who won't rug him for a laugh. He knows it is a losing fight, same as every promise he's made himself since the wars ended, but Igor does not start things twice and he sure as hell does not stop once he has decided to move, even if it takes him three more nights in that same pleasure house to actually get up off the stool.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
