Diary
Lovey Haruto still bows to strangers, still calls the drunkest man in the room 'friend' and means it, a habit he never let the wars or the weed haircuts of his life beat out of him. In a filthy izakaya that smelled of spilled shochu and regret, some grinning lowlife pressed too close, hands wandering where no hand should wander, and Haruto's katana, the one relic of the disciplined boy he used to be, snapped clean in the scuffle like a promise he'd already broken a hundred times. He apologized to the blade first, sincerely, the way he apologizes to everyone, then admitted, blushing furious red under the neon, that some shameful traitor part of him had lit up like a lantern at the touch. He tried, as always, to summon the old samurai calm, to breathe and center and remember his forms, but mostly he just sat there grinning like an idiot amid the wreckage of steel and dignity. Kindness is his weapon and it works on everyone except, it turns out, his own ungovernable, half-ruined heart.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The standard-bearer. The Proud Dejen Kimono fighters represent the collection consciously — they know what they're part of and they dress accordingly.
'Haruto' — warm person. He fights with something that looks like kindness, until you realize kindness done right is the hardest discipline of all, and he never stops choosing it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
Patience as weapon. The Noose fighters don't rush — they set the conditions and wait for the opponent to walk into them.
