Diary
Oleg Of War does not apologize, not to gods, not to men, not to the friend whose bed still smells faintly of victory and betrayal. He blackmailed him properly, sword-hand steady even as the sake bottles multiplied on the tatami, extracting coin and dignity in equal measure before the drink finally claimed the last of his famous discipline. He woke, empire in ashes, purse full, honor spent, and simply kept walking that same reckless line he's always walked, straight out onto the street corner where he now sells the only asset the wars and the whiskey haven't rugged from him: himself. No shame colors his face when former brothers-in-arms pass by pretending not to recognize the man who once commanded them, because Oleg was always going to end up exactly here, magnetic and monstrous, the villain who never needed your permission to enjoy the ruin he built. He tells himself tomorrow he'll find his old katana stance again, tomorrow he'll be a monk, tomorrow never comes, and he grins anyway because the failing itself is the only performance he's ever truly loved.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Minimum. Clean. The Fight Gi fighters believe that preparation is visible in the garment — this one says the fighter has done this before.
War in the name and war in the deed. Read the other fighters' stories closely and Oleg keeps turning up — always as the one who ruined the moment, corrupted the innocent, lit the match.
Organization meets chaos. The Yakuza Hooligan fighters have discipline from one tradition and abandon from another, and they've combined them into something entirely their own.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
