Botan once swore an oath of silence in the mountains above Kyoto, back when discipline meant something sharper than a hangover, and now he lies in a bed that smells like spilled sake and bad decisions, gossiping to no one in particular about the floor price of loyalty. Someone slipped in while he monologued about a rival dojo's rugged NFT drop, plucked the jade earring right off his lobe, and vanished into the night like a ninja who actually trained. Most men would rage, sharpen a blade, hunt the thief through seven prefectures, but fear was surgically removed from Botan years ago, so all that's left where panic should be is a flat, eerie calm and a shrug that could stop a war. He tells himself he'll meditate at dawn tomorrow, restore the old samurai focus, maybe even find the earring through sheer disciplined will, but dawn arrives and he's already three bong rips deep, laughing about nothing. So he does the only reasonable thing a man with no fear and less memory can do: he chooses, with total serenity, to simply forget the whole incident ever happened, earring, thief, and dignity included.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Excess made armor. The Glutton Fight fighters wear their hunger on the outside — not for food, but for everything the Dojo offers.
'Botan' — a peony, a beautiful flower on a genuinely terrible situation. Somewhere in the wars he saw a thing that removed his fear permanently and never gave it back.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Movement made permanent. The Long Flowing fighters trail behind themselves in every room they enter — the hair arrives first, then the fighter.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
