They say Shitless Botan built his whole legend beneath a bridge, absorbing a stranger's screaming the way other men absorb sake, standing there with the flat, unblinking calm of a man who misplaced his fear along with his sword and never bothered filing a claim. He did not flinch, did not blink, did not even do the polite thing and pretend to be moved, and somehow that nothing became everything, the story spreading through the dojo faster than a floor price rugging at 3am. Back home he still keeps a small shrine to discipline, lights the incense, kneels for exactly four seconds before his knees start aching for the tatami mats of a life he abandoned for dice and green smoke, then wanders off to lose another bet with the same calm he wore under that bridge. His family still thinks he does temple maintenance on Tuesdays. He has not corrected them, mostly because the truth involves a stranger's spit, his own dead-eyed silence, and a legacy he is, in his own gallows-calm way, extremely proud of.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
