TOKUDA once commanded a Yakuza crew with a voice that could rattle paper doors off their frames, a general of back-alley empires who never learned to whisper. Then one Sunday at his mother's house, some ancient auntie in a floral cardigan hocked a loogie square at his feet and croaked that he was a disgrace to the family shrine, and something in him that had survived blades and betrayals simply folded like a busted floor price. He shouted his surrender to the ceiling right there, declared himself reborn, aped hard into Buddhism, shaved his head, lit incense, swore off everything but silence and stillness. The silence lasted maybe four minutes before he was bellowing sutras like war chants, lighting a joint next to the little Buddha statue
Collected. Not borrowed. The Foes Teeth fighters carry proof of every fight they've won around their neck and find it a useful conversation starter.
Military patience. The Olive Green fighters do not announce themselves. They wait. Then they move.
