Diary
Young Yuji never slept much even before the wars ended, and now that there's no war left to keep him up, he just paces the dojo garden at 3 a.m. muttering about legacy. It was there, mid-pace, that inspiration struck: he found Raiku the Stoner face-down among the koi pond irises, giggling at a caterpillar, and Yuji slapped him twice across the cheek just to feel like a commander again, like there was still a mission worth barking orders for. In that slap, in that stinging little moment of purpose, the whole master plan assembled itself in his head, grand and glorious and almost entirely incoherent by the time he tried explaining it to Raiku, who only asked if the plan came with snacks. Yuji, chasing a glory the war took with it when it left, has now decided the only honorable finish is seppuku, scheduled loosely for
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The name is the lore. The Poop Pride Kimono fighters have transcended embarrassment so completely that they wear the proof. Undefeated.
Still becoming, and always will be — the wars ended before he got to finish. All promise and no scars, certain his great chapter was over the next hill. The hill turned out to be the last one.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The Dojo wrote on it. The Degen Graffiti Rice Hat fighters carry the collection's mark on the highest point of their body.
Repurposed. Made for the earth, used for the fight. The Farmers Hoe fighters don't distinguish between cultivation and combat.
