Young Yuji never got his war, so he went hunting for one anyway, and found instead a crooked bargain waiting under the thousand red gates of Fushimi shrine. Ikari caught him kneeling there at three in the morning, praying to gods who had already clocked out for the century, and sold him a taste of purpose that went down like rust and static. Now Yuji hawks himself on street corners like a limited mint nobody minted right, still swearing the next stranger who stops is the general come to finally hand him a war worth bleeding in. Every night he vows dawn training, blade drills, some scrap of the old discipline, and every dawn finds him passed out against a vending machine dreaming of battles that ended before he was old enough to hold a spear. He tells people the shrine cursed him, but the sadder truth is that the glory left town years before he showed up, and Yuji is still sprinting after the dust it kicked up.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
