Rugged Dojo on the market →Diary
Young Yuji never got his war, so he keeps inventing smaller ones, and the noodle house on the corner of nowhere became his latest battlefield. He was mid-brag to Ikari, some slurred story about a duel that never happened, gesturing so hard with his chopsticks that he clipped the table wrong and folded his own elbow like a bad hand of cards. The old men playing shogi in the back didn't even look up, they'd seen this kid ape into stupider situations for less. Cast in a sling, high on weed and the ghost of glory that left this generation behind, Yuji declared right there over cold broth that he'd open his own dojo, teach discipline to anyone who'd listen, starting the moment his arm healed. Nobody believed him, least of all Yuji, who was already awake at 3am sketching dojo logos instead of sleeping, chasing a legend that packed up and rugged him before he ever got the chance to earn it.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
Still becoming, and always will be — the wars ended before he got to finish. All promise and no scars, certain his great chapter was over the next hill. The hill turned out to be the last one.
Grew things before they fought things. The Farmer clothing is the clearest record of what a fighter was before the Dojo changed them.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
