Diary
They called him Akuma back when the name still meant something, back when his word could empty a room or fill a river, and he wore it the way other men wear scars, proudly, without apology. Once he ran syndicates from smoke-choked back rooms, all discipline and dead-eyed calculation, but the wars folded in on themselves and left him leading a ragged crew of bandits under the sakura trees instead, trading tribute for stolen sake and half-baked schemes. He still cannot forget the incident, the one that hollowed something out of him beneath the falling petals, and he keeps trying to rebuild the old iron code, meditation at dawn, blades cleaned by moonlight, only to end up passed out under the same blossoms with an empty jug and a grin that scares even him. Discipline was supposed to be his return ticket out of the gutter, but it keeps losing to the dice game his crew won't stop running. Even demons, it turns out, are weak to good odds and bad memories, and Akuma laughs at that truth more than anyone, because the joke, like the blossoms, never really stops falling.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
It's been that kind of day. The Bloody Mess clothing doesn't mean the fighter lost — it means they were in it deep enough that cleanliness became irrelevant.
'Akuma' means devil, a name he didn't choose. The survivors needed a word bigger than soldier for what he did on the field, and it stuck.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Extinct power, still present. The Sabertooth Skull fighters wear something that doesn't exist anymore — which means they carry it forward.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
