Diary
They named him Akuma in the war because the enemy swore a demon walked among the ranks, and he has spent every degenerate year since trying to live down to that reputation like it's a floor price he refuses to let drop. So when he strolled through the market talking wild trash about some passing samurai's haircut and got cursed with a rash for his trouble, he took it the only way a man with his legend could, as cosmic proof that even disease respects his aura. Now he announces to anyone who'll listen that seppuku is the only honorable exit, unsheathing his blade with the solemn ceremony of a man who has clearly rehearsed the pose in a mirror more than the act itself. He gets as far as kneeling, blade balanced just so, before someone mentions there's a dice game starting or a jug still half full, and the demon of the old wars turns out to be a pushover for one more round. Somewhere underneath the theater he still aches for the discipline that used to mean something, but Akuma has decided dying with dignity can wait, mostly because he keeps getting rugged by his own attention span.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Red moon, heightened stakes. The Red High Moon backgrounds mark the moments when everything was on the line and the fighter stayed.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Half the statement. The Skull Sleeve fighters communicate their philosophy in one arm — the other arm is for whatever needs doing next.
'Akuma' means devil, a name he didn't choose. The survivors needed a word bigger than soldier for what he did on the field, and it stuck.
The Dojo itself, rendered on glass. The Dojo Graffiti fighters see everything through the collection's own aesthetic — they can't separate themselves from it.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
