Diary
They called him Akuma back when the banners still meant something, back when discipline was a blade he kept oiled and honest, and he wore the name now like a scar he's proud of, grinning at what it cost him. On Misty Mountain, where the fog used to hide ambushes and now just hides embarrassment, he stood bellowing obscenities down at a group of startled women hiking the ridge, some ancient warrior instinct twisted into pure degenerate noise. Mid-tirade his boot caught a loose stone and there they were, a scatter of old coins glinting up at him like the mountain itself was tipping him for the show. He told himself it was fate, not luck, because a demon doesn't believe in accidents, he believes in tribute. That night he tried to meditate on the discipline he'd lost, sword across his knees, incense lit, and lasted four minutes before he was back outside hollering at the fog just to see if it would pay him again.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Lord's garment worn into battle. The Daimyo Warrior Kimono fighters have authority they didn't ask for and intention they haven't announced.
'Akuma' means devil, a name he didn't choose. The survivors needed a word bigger than soldier for what he did on the field, and it stuck.
Precious material on the most important tool. The Golden Glasses fighters invested in how they see — and the investment shows.
Named for what grew. The Wise Greatness fighters became something across time that couldn't be rushed and didn't try to be.
