Diary
They called him Akuma back when the war still meant something, when the name was a warning painted on a banner instead of a punchline he tells at his own expense. Now the demon sits cross-legged on his own futon, weed smoke curling like a lazy ghost, trying to blackmail a friend for a bag of floor-priced tokens and a favor owed since the old campaigns. The friend laughed at the wrong moment, and something ancient and stupid in Akuma's chest snapped loose, fists flying before honor could talk sense into him, right there on the sheets he sleeps on every night like some kind of degenerate warlord. No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Named for the journey, not the destination. The Recovering Alcoholic fighters are in process — and process is honest in a way that arrival never is.
'Akuma' means devil, a name he didn't choose. The survivors needed a word bigger than soldier for what he did on the field, and it stuck.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
The Dojo's samurai. The Dejen Samurai fighters carry the warrior tradition through the collection's own lens — ancient code, contemporary context.
