Masumi once believed ambition was a virtue, back when his blade still had a purpose and his mornings still had a schedule. Then came the night he argued with an enemy Yakuza faction under a moon that offered no comfort and even less mercy, and he watched his future collapse into the simple arithmetic of who blinks first. He blinked. He retired the same week, not out of wisdom but out of the flat, undeniable math that dead men rarely get promoted, and he has narrated his own decline with the same calm voice ever since. Now he tries to rebuild discipline through meditation apps he never opens and gym memberships he uses mainly for the free towels, failing so consistently that even his failure has developed a routine. He says the world is bleak, the odds are rigged, and honestly, that's fine, since at least the floor of his life stopped falling the day he stopped fighting for a ceiling.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
