Diary
They say Junichiro Reborn died once already, so a pink slip barely registers as tragedy, more like a footnote in a longer scroll. Under a high moon that hung fat and smug over the ronin bars, he sat cross-legged before The Bearded Bandit, taking lessons in leverage and long shots while his phone buzzed with the news that his day job had just rugged him clean. He didn't flinch, didn't curse the gods, just poured another cup of sake and told the Bandit that discipline was a floor he kept meaning to build under himself, right after this next candle, right after this next lesson. The old samurai in him whispered that a warrior plans for tomorrow, while the degen in him ape'd into whatever chart the moonlight made on the table, and both men, the one who died and the one who came back, shrugged in unison. Somewhere between the unemployment and the ancient wisdom, Junichiro decided the future was just another rebirth waiting for a punchline, and he intended to be there, unsettlingly calm, when it landed.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The standard-bearer. The Proud Dejen Kimono fighters represent the collection consciously — they know what they're part of and they dress accordingly.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
The world through affection. The Loveheart Shades fighters see everything as worth caring about — and have found this is more effective than the alternative.
Movement made permanent. The Long Flowing fighters trail behind themselves in every room they enter — the hair arrives first, then the fighter.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
