Before he was Junichiro Reborn, he was simply Junichiro, a blade for hire who once knelt before lords and swore oaths he actually meant. The wars ended, the coin dried up, and somewhere between the last battlefield and the first empty sake cup he found himself in the market stalls of a town he doesn't name anymore, lifting purses from farmers who had less than he did and calling it fate rather than theft. He tells it now with a strange serenity, like a man reciting a past life that belonged to someone else, half apology and half punchline, the tainted man grinning at his own tragedy. Every morning he vows to sit in meditation before dawn, straighten his spine, remember the discipline of the dojo, and every morning he instead wakes at noon smelling of weed and regret, laughing at how thoroughly he's been rugged by his own habits. Still, he keeps his eyes forward, certain the better days are floor price only from here, and certain too that whoever he becomes next will at least rob people who can afford it.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
After the rice was used. The Rice Sack Rags fighters wear what remains after everything useful has been extracted — and find it sufficient.
He walked into something that should have ended him and walked back out with the same name and none of the same conditions. Nobody agrees what happened out there, and he's in no hurry to explain.
Still functional. Functionally broken. The Broken Glasses fighters see a cracked version of reality and have found it more honest than the uncracked one.
Named for sensation. The Splitting Axe Ache fighters' hair is named for how their opponents feel after they're done.
