Diary
Masumi Steel swore this would be the day he finally reclaimed his old samurai poise, standing tall before the shoji doors like some monk about to deliver a sermon on restraint. Instead the degens smelled ambition on him the way sharks smell chum, and within seconds he was ringed by a chorus of cackling ape-brained gamblers waving dice, joints, and half-empty sake cups. He tried the old stern glare his sensei taught him, but it kept dissolving into a grin because honestly, this was more fun than meditation ever was. Someone shoved a bet in his hand, someone else passed him a spliff thick enough to fell a shogun, and Masumi, laughing, took both without a shred of the discipline he'd sworn to find that morning. The shoji doors slid shut behind him like the universe itself sighing, and Masumi just shrugged, because deep down he knew he was never rugging his own legend, just renting it out to chaos one more glorious night.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Unclear until it clears. The Grey Mist backgrounds belong to fighters who operate where others can't see, and use that fog as their advantage.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The red Oni rages where the blue Oni waits. The Red Oni Tattoo fighters run hot and they are at peace with this.
They called him Steel because nothing moved him — cold face, cold hands, the last man standing while braver fools lost their nerve. In peacetime, steel with nothing to cut just rusts.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Intentional declaration. The Mohawk Spike fighters made a choice that announces itself before they speak.
