Diary
Oleg Of War never raised his voice at the onsen, he never needed to; he simply drove the blade into the rat scuttling between the stones without breaking eye contact with the man across the steam. That stare did more damage than the knife ever could, peeling back years of borrowed confidence until the man folded like wet paper and fled into the hills. They say he lives as a hermit now, muttering about discipline he swears he'll reclaim someday, meditating on mountains that don't care and never will. Oleg offers no comment, no apology, no closure, only the memory of steel meeting vermin while his gaze did the real killing. He soaks a little longer, unbothered, because ruining a man's whole philosophy of self before breakfast is simply a Tuesday for him.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Soft exterior. The Puppy Kimono fighters discovered that disarming presentation is its own strategy — you stop seeing the threat until it's too late.
War in the name and war in the deed. Read the other fighters' stories closely and Oleg keeps turning up — always as the one who ruined the moment, corrupted the innocent, lit the match.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Wild, electrified. The Zapachi fighters' hair moves independently and the fighter has accepted that this is appropriate.
Musical instrument. Strung instrument. The Shamisen fighters understand that performance and violence are not opposites — they are the same act in different registers.
