Oleg smiled the way villains do, drew his katana across the mahjong table as a challenge no one asked for, and when the blade met the master's calm block it shattered like his own resolve to ever hold a disciplined line again. He did not apologize, did not explain, only stepped over the broken hilt on his way to the bar, muttering that a true warrior needs no sword when he has chaos on his side. Somewhere beneath the swagger, the old samurai in him still practices katas alone in the dark, losing that fight nightly, and loving every degenerate second of it.”
