Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki never needed two eyes to count what mattered, and in the Meiji Jungle he proved it again, staring down a beetle twice his size with the flat calm of a man who has already seen the ending. The crowd aped in on the underdog beetle, chasing a pump that never came, while Itsuki just watched the angles nobody else could see, half the world doubled in clarity where others saw fog. When his beetle finally flipped the favorite onto its back, Itsuki didn't cheer, he just nodded, the way a man nods when the floor holds instead of rugging beneath him. He walked out of that jungle wiser, richer in nothing but certainty, muttering that discipline is just betting on what you already know to be true. Still, that night he tried to meditate on it by candlelight, lit a joint instead, and figured half a lesson learned twice was better than none.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The red Oni rages where the blue Oni waits. The Red Oni Tattoo fighters run hot and they are at peace with this.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Nothing hidden. No armor above the neck. The Bald fighters face everything without cover and consider this the only honest approach.
Implies infirmity, delivers otherwise. The Wooden Walking Cane fighters move slower than expected and hit harder than prepared for.
