Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki always said he saw half the world, but he saw it twice as clearly, and for decades that half was enough to keep a blade honest and a mind quiet. Then he climbed Misty Mountain to trade riddles with The Old Dragon, expecting wisdom, and instead got roasted so thoroughly on his life choices that his mojo simply packed a bag and left with the fog. He tried meditating it back, fasting it back, even bargaining with a vending machine of instant noodles as an offering, but discipline these days is a rug he keeps stepping on the wrong side of. So now he lives up there as a hermit, one eye on the clouds, one eye on nothing in particular, muttering that enlightenment was overrated anyway and the view alone is worth the floor he lost. Ask him how he's doing and he'll say, half of me is fine, and honestly, that's the better half.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Paper screens at night. The Shoji Night fighters were born in the quiet hours, when the market sleeps and only the committed are still at their screens.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Formal vision. The Spectacles fighters approached clarity with the same seriousness they bring to everything else — completely.
Named for the legendary fighter. The Red Heihachi fighters carry that name's weight in every match and find it light.
A live chicken. As a weapon. The Chicken fighters have committed to an approach that nobody expected and found that unexpectedness is half the battle.
