Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki has always claimed he sees half the world twice as clearly, which is a fine trick until the half you miss is the one holding the knife. Up in the snow he found Ikari mid-sermon on discipline and second chances, and something in that frostbitten pep talk cracked him open like a cheap padlock, his chest swelling with the kind of confidence a man usually regrets by morning. He walked back down the mountain sure he'd found his old samurai spine again, ready to quit the weed, quit the tables, quit aping into whatever shiny nonsense the dojo's degenerates were shilling that week. Instead he got rugged by his own optimism, floor dropping out from under a plan built on borrowed grit, and now he drifts through the halls a broken man with one working eye and zero working excuses. Steady as ever on the outside, sharp-tongued as ever when asked how he's doing, he just shrugs and says the view's still twice as clear, it's the landing that keeps getting worse.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Excess made armor. The Glutton Fight fighters wear their hunger on the outside — not for food, but for everything the Dojo offers.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Heavy. Absolute. The Black Iron Kabuto fighters chose protection over style and discovered that in the Dojo, this IS style.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
