Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki lost his fief the way other men lose a coin toss, calm, unblinking, certain the mountain owed him something for all those years of guarding it. At the foot of Fuji he laid down his family's land on a single roll, reasoning that a man who sees half the world twice as clearly should need only half the luck everyone else does. He was wrong, and he watched the snow-capped peak with the same flat stare he'd have given a man who cut him, filing the loss away as data rather than grief. Now he sits cross-legged most mornings, vowing discipline, sharpening a blade he no longer draws for anything but ritual, promising himself one clean day without a wager before the sun sets, and losing that bet too, every single time. Still, he'll tell you with a half-cocked grin that he can do better, he just hasn't decided yet which eye to trust when the dice hit the table.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Royalty that refused the crown. The Purple Night backgrounds belong to fighters who could have been somewhere easier and chose not to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The red Oni rages where the blue Oni waits. The Red Oni Tattoo fighters run hot and they are at peace with this.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Ancient discipline, modern retention. The Braided Samurai Ponytail fighters maintain something traditional precisely because the world keeps trying to make them let it go.
The floor weapon. Everywhere. Common because common is honest — the Rusty Nail fighters know that what you find is often better than what you planned.
