Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki used to kneel on the tatami mats after every duel, waiting for someone, anyone, to tell him his form was flawless, and when the compliments got thin he started fishing for them like a degen checking his bags every five minutes hoping the floor pumped. He'd drop lines like 'guess the one eye still sees more than most' and stare at his dojo brothers until they caved and fed his ego just to make him stop talking. Word got around, honor got quietly rugged, and the old masters stopped inviting him to the good tournaments, which stung less than he let on. These days he sits rooted and unbothered near the mats, half the world in focus and the other half a blur he's stopped chasing, and if you ask him about it he'll just say humility hit different once nobody was clapping anymore. He still loses the fight some nights, catches himself waiting a beat too long for praise that isn't coming, but he's aped into self-discipline now, one dry one-liner at a time.
Worn deliberately. The Nails fighters made choices with their appearance that most would call unconventional and they would call honest.
Paper screens at night. The Shoji Night fighters were born in the quiet hours, when the market sleeps and only the committed are still at their screens.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Excess made armor. The Glutton Fight fighters wear their hunger on the outside — not for food, but for everything the Dojo offers.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Formal vision. The Spectacles fighters approached clarity with the same seriousness they bring to everything else — completely.
Not born with them. Became them. The Grey Oni Horns fighters grew their nature slowly until it became structural.
The other fish weapon. The Dead Fish fighters use something that smells like loss as a weapon — opponents are too confused to defend properly.
