Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki never needed two eyes to see that the Hidden Teahouse was no place for a real duel, but he drew steel anyway, scattering rice bowls and a monk's begging cup across the tatami like a man settling a grudge with the whole universe. Half his sight is gone, sure, but what remains cuts twice as clean, which is exactly the problem: he saw every mistake coming and made them anyway, calm as a man reading a menu. The old dojo masters taught him patience is a blade sharpened in silence; the new Itsuki sharpens nothing but his thirst, vowing to drown the shame at the bottom of a sake jug he definitely cannot afford. He tells himself one cup, just one, the way every degenerate samurai tells himself just one more candle before the floor gets rugged. Steady hand, ruined evening, one good eye watching the whole slow-motion disaster unfold and somehow still looking unbothered about it.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Neither dark nor white. The Light Grey background belongs to fighters who operate in the space between certainties and have made it comfortable there.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
No clothing needed. The Shirtless Runt fighters removed every layer between themselves and the fight. Maximum exposure. Maximum honesty.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Elevated tradition. The High Straw Rice Hat fighters dress high above their own heads — everything they do is reaching upward.
The weighted hook-blade on a rope. Distance and cutting in one weapon. The Heavy Kyoketsu fighters control range — nothing happens at a distance they didn't set.
