Diary
Before the wars ended, Itsuki could read a battlefield with one eye and still see more than men with two, and that old habit of noticing everything never left him, not even on some nameless beach where he stood flexing for strangers, fishing so hard for compliments you'd think he'd forgotten a blade was still strapped to his hip. A rival crew clocked the thirst from a mile off, decided the lesson should land somewhere permanent, and relieved him of his balls right there in the sand while he was mid-sentence about his abs. He didn't scream, didn't beg, just exhaled slow like a man watching his portfolio go to zero and accepting the chart never lied. These days he floats through the Dojo unbothered, half a man's worth of tools but twice the posture, still trying to reclaim the old discipline of a warrior who needed no audience, and still failing every single time someone asks him to flex for the group photo. Ask him how he's doing and he'll tell you, calm as ever, that he's never felt more balanced in his life.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Between midday and dusk. The Orange Afternoon fighters are in the middle of something — not finished, not starting, exactly where they need to be.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Grew things before they fought things. The Farmer clothing is the clearest record of what a fighter was before the Dojo changed them.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Ceremony interrupted. The Disheveled Geisha fighters started something formal and ended something entirely different.
