Diary
One-Eyed Itsuki only needs half a view to catch the whole scam, but somewhere between the third plate of ribs and BBQ Ben's fourth toast on that crowded street corner, his good eye clocked a tattoo parlor sign and decided it looked like destiny instead of a red flag. He remembers agreeing to something about a dragon eating a rocket ship, nodding with the calm of a man who once held a blade steady through worse storms than sauce-drunk confidence. The old discipline whispered wait, sleep on it, a true warrior plans his ink like his strikes, and the old discipline, as usual, got outvoted by grease and gambling-brain optimism. He woke up branded for life with something between a koi fish and a rug pull chart, one arm now a cautionary tale rendered in permanent green. Itsuki just shrugs when asked about it, one eye steady on the horizon, the other apparently still processing the bill, muttering that wisdom is just the tattoo you got before this one, and the ache for the disciplined man he used to be sits quiet under all that bad linework, patient as a debt that never really leaves.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
The hour when most give up. The Blue Evening fighters are still at their desk, still watching the chart, still holding.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Explicit in every sense. The Fuck You Kimono fighters made a communication choice and wore it. No ambiguity. No apology.
'Itsuki' — a tree, deep roots and one straight trunk. He lost the eye in a story he tells four different ways depending on how much he likes you, and what's left sees more than most manage with two.
Gold-edged, elevated. The Pompous Glasses fighters have earned the right to look down at something and have chosen to look down at mediocrity.
Named for sensation. The Splitting Axe Ache fighters' hair is named for how their opponents feel after they're done.
Not metaphorical. Someone's leg bone, spiked. The Spiky Femur fighters have been here long enough that the bones of their enemies are now equipment.
